The Director-General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) Dr. Halilu Ahmad Shaba has said collaborating with relevant Stakeholder in the field of promoting research findings would help to bridge the gap between researchers and end-users.

He made the statement while receiving a delegation from the In technology & Communication Expo Organised by Afrinex West Africa Limited during a courtesy visit at the NASRDA Headquarters in Abuja.
Dr. Shaba while appreciating the team for their visit, said establishing networks and platforms that can be used to disseminate research findings to a wider audience is essential as it would enable researchers reach out to policymakers, industry experts, and the general public which can increase the impact of their researches.
The NASRDA Boss, stated that the Agency is dedicated to expanding the capabilities of space technology through research and development, noting that NASRDA has significantly aided space research and development in Nigeria and has become a preeminent space agency in Africa.
Dr. Shaba however pledged his support towards the upcoming trade exhibition/expo in April, saying that he considers the Agency’s invitation to the trade exhibition/expo as a favour and opportunity to showcase the activities of the Space Agency.
In his remarks, The Vice President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and leader of the visiting delegation Dr. Johnson Anene while appreciating the DG and the Management of NASRDA for the warm reception said, the visit was necessary as they consider the Space Agency as a crucial research institution and believe that its accomplishments should be appropriately brought to limelight.
He stressed the need to collaborate with relevant Agency to help achieve their mandate of investment, promotion and trade facilitation, bridging the gap between the researcher and the end users.
Dr. Anene explained that this year’s Trade Exhibition/Expo organized by Afrinex in collaboration with Abuja Chamber of Commerce is a sector base expo targeted at promoting application research findings.
