NASRDA BOSS ADVOCATES INTERNAL COLLABORATION IN THE AGENCY.

The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency, Dr. Halilu Shaba, says for every organisation to achieve its goals and set objectives, there is need for various departments and units to synergize towards the growth and development. He made this statement at the opening ceremony of a two day workshop on NASRDA’s Achievements and Prospects in Engineering, Research and Development, at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja.
Dr. Shaba who commended engineers for coming up with the idea of a workshop, which he described as important said, continuous internal collaboration will enhance effective productivity and foster peace in the agency. He therefore said owing to the crop of intellectuals on the campus, the space agency has what it takes to fulfill its stipulated mandate and promote the space programme for the overall benefit of the nation.
The Director General however called for the implementation of various research work carried out by its engineers and scientists towards the achievement of Nigeria’s Space Agenda. He urged the engineers to be loud and visible in order to create awareness and get the attention of the end users of solutions that NASRDA provides.
In his remark, the Director, Engineering and Space Systems, Dr. Olufemi Agboola appreciated the Director General for his support and encouragement towards the event.
Dr. Agboola who is the host of the event, said the workshop would enable engineers examine the achievements of the agency and discuss the way forward towards promoting the activities of space programmes in the country.
The workshop which is the first of its kind, focused on various technical presentations and had in attendance, Directors from NASRDA’s Centres of excellence, Coordinators of Laboratories and Technical staff of the agency.
