Further to the Federal Government directives that Government Parastatals  would be expected to generate revenue in order to ensure continued government funding it has become necessary for the Agency to have a specialized Department that would properly package the products of the Agency and activities Centres for sale to the public.

The department would serve as a contact between Local and International, Users of available Space products in NASRDA with the view to earning both local and Foreign Exchange.
The department would also follow the trends of space products and the pricing policy and advise the Agency adequately in order to compete favourably in the market.

• Liaise with all the Technical Departments and Activities Centres of the Agency on their programmes/projects in order to come up with marketable products.
• Carryout an inventory of users/potential users of spacegenerated products and formulate strategies to encourage the use of such products.
• Identify the needs of Government and Non- Government organization for space products and promote patronage of Agency products.  
• Publish books, magazine and other space related journals in collaboration with the Department of Policy, Planning and Research.
• Participate in Exhibitions and Trade fairs locally and internationally to market the products of the Agency, enhance cooperation between NASRDA and other space related Organisations and keep abreast with current trends in Space Science and Technology.
• Organizing from time to time workshops/seminars to enlighten and promote the use of space Technology for Commercial purposes.
• Carryout any other duties as directed by the Director-General/Chief Executive.
